Milan forward Noah Okafor has recovered from his recent injury and returned to the squad days before their next match against Roma.
The 23-year-old Swiss striker joined the Rossoneri from RB Salzburg in the summer in a deal worth around €14m, penning a five-year contract in the Lombardy capital. He has mostly featured as a backup option since his arrival, starting in just two Serie A matches.
Okafor has hardly featured for Milan in recent weeks, suffering a hamstring injury back in November that’s kept him sidelined for six league games out of the last seven.
As highlighted by TMW, Okafor returned to squad training with his teammates at Milanello today and is now working towards joining the squad for their coming Serie A clash with Roma on Sunday.
His return is important for Stefano Pioli, who is already dealing with a lack of options due to injuries and the Africa Cup of Nations.
Okafor has scored three goals and provided one assist for Milan across 15 appearances, seeing 412 minutes of action.
