Most fans and pundits feel Stefano Pioli’s time at Milan is over regardless of the next game against Sassuolo, but some believe the Italian tactician has been ‘left alone’ by the management.

Pioli is walking on thin ice following an away 2-2 draw at Salernitana, which has reportedly led Milan directors to give one final chance to the Parma-born tactician.

Multiple sources, including Calciomercato.com, claim Pioli will be sacked if Milan lose the next Serie A game against Sassuolo on December 30, 2023.

Most pundits feel the coach’s time at the club is over anyway, but if the Rossoneri beat Sassuolo next week, Pioli can hope to get until the end of the season.

It’s been a tough season for the Rossoneri so far. They’ve been eliminated from the Champions League group stage and sit third in the Serie A table, with Inter eight points above them with a game in hand.

Although most Milan fans seem fed up with the 2021-22 title-winning coach, some highlight how the high number of injuries has affected results this season, so some staff members, rather than the coach, should be replaced.

Others blame the management, accusing club directors of leaving Pioli alone. The 58-year-old reportedly took charge of a training session on Saturday morning, but no club representatives showed up at Milanello.
