It was an incredibly frustrating night for Juventus, who saw two Moise Kean goals disallowed and Arek Milik hit the post before Andrea Cambiaso’s last-gasp winner.

Dusan Vlahovic returned to the starting XI, though Danilo, Alex Sandro and Mattia De Sciglio were still injured, with Paul Pogba and Nicolò Fagioli suspended for off the field issues. Hellas had started the season well, but went to Turin with just one point from the last five rounds. Isak Hien, Juan Cabal and Jayden Braaf did not make the trip.

Vlahovic saw his shot charged down in the box on a Filip Kostic pull-back, then Moise Kean had the ball in the net after a splendid solo run that saw him shrug off one defender, nutmeg another a cut back past a third to drill into the near bottom corner. However, VAR showed Kean was marginally offside at the start of the move.

Kean’s looping header was fingertipped over the bar after a free kick, then he fired inches wide from a Kostic lay-off, while Vlahovic also nodded off target.

Wojciech Szczesny had to make a tough save on the stroke of half-time, getting down to parry the Federico Bonazzoli volley at the base of the near post on a poor clearance.

Straight after the restart, Kean had a free header on the Kostic cross, but couldn’t keep it down from six yards, then Adrien Rabiot’s ferocious angled drive was fingertipped round the far stick.

Kean had the ball in the net again on 53 minutes with a glancing header on Weston McKennie’s cross. However, following his celebration, it was again disallowed, this time for Kean lashing out an arm on Marco Davide Faraoni in the build-up.

This second goal chalked off got Kean even more riled up and Max Allegri thought it prudent to replace him with Federico Chiesa.

Immediately, Chiesa’s dipping strike was fingertipped over the bar, then a chaotic move saw Vlahovic completely miss the McKennie pull-back only for Chiesa to see his attempt charged down in the six yard box by Faraoni.

Chiesa had penalty appeals late on as he went down under pressure from Michael Folorunsho, then his angled drive flashed wide after going through a defender’s legs.

Rabiot’s header on a Chiesa corner was deflected over by Folorunsho, then Arek Milik flicked on a ball for Kenan Yildiz to volley just over the bar.

Deep into stoppages, Milik’s looping header on a Federico Gatti cross bounced off the inside of the far post, Pawel Dawidowicz failed to clear and Andrea Cambiaso popped up for the tap-in. It was his first goal in the Juventus jersey and could not have been more dramatic.
