Milan are expected to hold a meeting with representatives of highly-rated German teenager Assan Ouedraogo in the coming days according to reports on Monday evening.

A versatile midfielder, Ouedraogo was handed a starring role in the Germany U17 side that were crowned European Champions earlier this year.

The 17-year-old has also made quite the impression with 2. Bundesliga side Schalke in the early stages of the 2023-24 season and is reportedly being monitored by a number of high-profile clubs across Europe.

Among the interested teams, according to Sky DE reporter Florian Plettenberg, are Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig, as well as Premier League sides Liverpool, Brighton and Everton.

However, according to Plettenberg’s latest update, Milan’s interest is currently the most concrete and that the Rossoneri representatives will look to meet with their counterparts from Schalke at some stage this week.

Milan had reportedly also made an attempt to bring Ouedraogo to San Siro during the most recent transfer window.

Ouedraogo currently has a release clause written into his contract, which Milan would be able to activate for a fee of €20m next summer.
