Juventus worked hard to retain Adrien Rabiot this summer and are starting to draw up plans for a new contract for the Frenchman, reports detail.

The 28-year-old midfielder’s last contract was only days away from expiring back in June before he put pen to paper on a one-year extension, keeping his salary at around €7m net per season.

Rabiot has grown into one of Massimiliano Allegri’s most trusted players and has already played every available minute for Juventus this season, scoring in their season opener against Udinese.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport via TMW, Juventus are planning to offer Rabiot a new contract extension, renewing his deal by a further year to 2025 or two to 2026. Talks will be opened in the coming weeks.

It’s still unclear if the 28-year-old is willing to extend his stay in Turin and much seemingly depends on their ability to return to the Champions League.

Rabiot joined Juventus on a free transfer in the summer of 2019 and has made 180 appearances for the club, scoring 18 goals and providing 12 assists.
