It’s a clash of the Serie A titans this weekend and these Napoli vs. Lazio predictions suggest it will be a lively affair. Last season’s top two have started this season in opposing form, with the hosts winning both of their first matches and the visitors losing theirs.
1 – Napoli to win – 4/6
2 – Victor Osimhen to score first – 13/5
3 – Over 2.5 goals – 11/12
4 – Both teams to score – 22/23
5 – Ciro Immobile to score anytime – 13/5
Napoli look to continue their Scudetto defence on Saturday evening as they welcome Lazio to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. The Partenopei have made a strong start to the season, winning both of their matches in convincing fashion.
Things have not gone so well for the visitors on Saturday though. Lazio have had a surprisingly poor start, losing to both Genoa and Lecce – two teams earmarked to be fighting relegation come May. The absence of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic may have been underestimated, with the Aquile lacking energy in midfield.
As a result, it is the hosts who are strong favourites to secure a third consecutive win this weekend, with Napoli our tip to take all three points. Rudi Garcia appears to have picked up right where Luciano Spalletti left off, despite selling Kim Min-jae and losing Kvicha Kvaraskhelia to injury.
The latter made his return from the bench last weekend and has already managed an assist to his name. With Napoli free scoring at present, it comes as no surprise that Victor Osimhen is favourite to score first, with the forward leading the Serie A scoring charts following his capocannoniere performance last year.
The Partenopei have scored five goals from their first two games, suggesting that fans could be in for another goal-fest this weekend, especially with Lazio looking shaky at the back. With Napoli averaging 2.5 goals scored per game, a wager on over 2.5 scored on Saturday night might pay off.
Napoli are not the only side able to cause problems up front this weekend though, with Lazio’s Ciro Immobile one of few strikers able to match the goalscoring record of Osimhen. The captain has already got off the mark despite his side’s poor start to the season, so a bet on Immobile to score anytime and on both teams to score could be worth a punt.

Napoli (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Jesusi, Olivera; Aguissa, Lobotka, Zielinski; Lorenzo, Osimhen, Raspadori
Lazio (4-3-3) Provedel; Lazzari, Casale, Romagnoli, Marusic; Kamada, Cataldi, Alberto; Anderson, Immobile, Zaccagni
Napoli fans will be hoping that Kvicha Kvaraskhelia is fit to start this weekend, having made his return from the substitute’s bench against Sassuolo. The winger would take the place of Giacomo Raspadori, with no further changes expected.
Maurizio Sarri is not one to make reactionary changes, but he may be tempted to introduce some summer arrivals on Saturday. Gustav Isaksen, Matteo Cancellieri and Nicolo Rovella are all looking for their first start with the Aquile and could provide some much-needed quality following a poor start.
