Carlo Ancelotti is not surprised by José Mourinho’s impact at Roma: ‘He’s been successful even if the Giallorossi are not considered among the best teams.’
The Italian tactician, currently in charge of Real Madrid, spoke to Radio Serie A about the Giallorossi and their coach Mourinho.

The Special One is in his third year in the capital and Giallorossi fans are totally in love with the Portuguese so much so they sell out the Stadio Olimpico for every home game.
“It’s not surprising because Mourinho is an honest person and a great coach, so he built an amazing connection with the fans, which is positive,” said Ancelotti.
“He managed to be successful with a team that was not considered among the best.”
Mourinho was suspended for Roma’s 2-2 draw against Salernitana in the first Serie A game of the 2023-24 campaign. The Giallorossi will visit Hellas Verona in the second game of the season this coming Saturday.
Ancelotti is a former Roma player. His contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the season and he’s expected to take charge of Brazil’s national team from June 2024.
