Juventus continue negotiations to sell midfielder Denis Zakaria to West Ham United, but progress is slower than expected.

The Switzerland international spent last season on loan in the Premier League with Chelsea at a cost of €3m and the club did not take up their option to buy.

He seems to be heading back to the Premier League and indeed to London for West Ham, although the most recent reports suggest they are nowhere near to an agreement.

The asking price is €20m, having paid €10m to sign him from Borussia Monchengladbach in January 2022.

Zakaria is one of several players along with Arthur Melo and Weston McKennie who are not part of Juve’s plans for this season and are excluded by coach Max Allegri.

However, finding a buyer for the right price is proving extremely difficult, which in turn is blocking the Bianconeri’s hopes of signing suitable replacements.

Zakaria only made 15 competitive appearances for Juve, contributing one goal and one assist.

  1. Usually once a player has flopped in the Premier League he’s finished and needs to play in a lesser league . Westham must not gamble on Zakaria for 20 million . At 8-10 million they can cut their losses if need be or he remain as a squad player for easier cup games .
