Sky Sport Italia have reported that Milan are getting closer to reaching an official agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of US international Christian Pulisic.

The Rossoneri have lodged a series of bids with the West Londoners in an attempt to lure Pulisic away from Stamford Bridge, beginning with an initial offer of €14m plus add-ons, which was ultimately rejected.

It is thought that Chelsea value the player at around €25m, despite his having only a year left on his current contract.

Pulisic has been deemed surplus to requirements by Chelsea following the arrivals of Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke and Christopher Nkunku over the course of the last 12 months.

After their original rejection, Milan put in an improved offer of €22m including additional bonuses on Wednesday, which is significantly closer to Chelsea’s original asking price.

Sky believe that the breakdown of Milan’s latest offer includes a guaranteed €20m for Chelsea, including €2m in add-ons.

According to Sky’s reports, Milan are now awaiting the final and definitive green light from the decision makers at Chelsea and that negotiations could be concluded in the not-so-distant future.
