Roma defender Roger Ibanez has described the joys and difficulties of working with a ‘bipolar’ coach like Jose Mourinho.

The centre-back has been a regular in defence for the two years that Mourinho has been in charge of the Giallorossi, experiencing the highs and lows, often very close to each other.

“It is fantastic to experience him day after day,” Ibanez told Rede Atlantida.

“I think he is a bipolar coach, in that one day he laughs and jokes with you, then the next you can’t even speak to him.”

With Carlo Ancelotti resisting the proposals to stick with Real Madrid, Ibanez was asked if Mourinho would be a good coach of the Brazil national team.

“I think he would adapt very easily, but only he knows what the future holds.”
