Torino have emerged to seriously compete with Inter for Raoul Bellanova and have submitted an offer to Cagliari, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
The 23-year-old Italian full back joined the Nerazzurri last summer from the Sardinian side on a €3m loan deal with a €7m buy option attached. He struggled for regular playing time across the season, seeing just 484 minutes of action across 18 Serie A appearances.
Despite his limited usage, Inter are keen to retain Bellanova, although they’ve been hoping to secure a discount on the previously agreed €7m fee. A new meeting has been set up with Cagliari to try and find a new agreement.
Di Marzio details how Torino have emerged with an offer for Bellanova, willing to pay €7m plus €2m in add-ons. The hope is to beat Inter across the line and finalise a deal soon.
The Nerazzurri now need to figure out how to avoid losing the 23-year-old to the Granata, seemingly dashing their hopes of securing a discount on the Italian full back.
