Mattia De Sciglio

Massimiliano Allegri was forced into making a first half substitution during Juventus’ game against Lecce after Mattia De Sciglio was left in tears as he was carried off on a stretcher.

De Sciglio went down in immense pain after a coming together with Lecce forward Lameck Banda.

The Juve full-back immediately signalled to the bench that something was wrong, before raising his hands to his face, signalling that he was in severe discomfort.

The immediate indications are far from positive, as De Sciglio looks to have sustained some sort of knee injury.

The 30-year-old was making his first start in five league games after missing out on Juve’s most recent set of domestic fixtures with muscular fatigue. The 30-year-old had also missed over three months of the season over the winter period through a hamstring injury.

With the scores level at 1-1 at the time of De Sciglio’s injury after goals from Leandro Paredes and Assan Ceesay, Juan Cuadrado came on to fill in at right-back for the Bianconeri.

Dusan Vlahovic’s 41st minute strike ensured that Juventus went into the break at 2-1 up.
