Milan coach Stefano Pioli will receive a hefty reward should he manage to guide the club to Champions League glory this season.

The 57-year-old has transformed the Rossoneri since taking over in October 2019, guiding them to their first Scudetto in over a decade last season and taking them to the Champions League semi-finals this campaign, where they’ll face intercity rivals Inter.

Whilst Milan have impressed in Europe this season, they’ve looked far more inconsistent in Serie A, leaving them in the thick of a top four race.

As highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pioli is confident of Milan’s chances in the Champions League and has been since he renewed his contract with the club back in October, when he extended his stay to 2025.

The Italian tactician asked for the inclusion of a Champions League victory bonus in his contract, worth around €300,000, showing his belief in the team’s capabilities in Europe’s premier club competition.
