With four consecutive wins and seven victories in their last eight league games, Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio are the form leaders in Serie A at the moment.

After their 3-0 win over Spezia on Friday evening, the Biancocelesti solidified their second place standing in the table and currently sit eight points above rivals Roma in third, albeit having played one game extra so far.

With nine games to go, Lazio are dreaming of reaching the Champions League for only the third time in the last 15 seasons and if they do so, will receive a significant financial boost heading into next season.

It is reported by Gianluca Di Marzio that a second place finish in Serie A is worth a minimum of €15 million, which could rise closer to €20 million depending on TV rights bonuses.

Then, there is the matter of a potential Champions League appearance, which guarantees extra income of €15.64 million for any club participating in the competition.

Then, there are bonuses of €2.8 million for a win in the group stage, €900,000 for a draw and an additional €9.6 million should they qualify for the tournament’s knockout rounds.
