Udinese defender Destiny Udogie, who will join Tottenham next year, is the most prolific U20 player in Italy in 2022 with seven goals scored.

The U21 Italy international signed with Antonio Conte’s side last year but has remained on loan at Udinese until the end of the season.

He has scored seven goals in league games in 2022, adding two assists to his tally. As reported by Transfermarkt, he is the most prolific U20 player in Italy’s professional leagues this year.

The second one is Nicholas Bonfanti, born in March 2002, who is contracted with Serie B side Modena. He is a product of Inter‘s academy and joined the Gialloblu in 2021.

Giovanni Fabbian, 19, also played in Inter’s academy and has scored five goals in 2022 with Reggina, coached by Italy’s 2006 World Cup winner Filippo Inzaghi.

Juventus‘ Nicolò Cudrig and Samuel Iling-Junior have scored four and three goals, respectively, with the Bianconeri’s NextGen team playing in Italy’s third division.

Iling, a product of Chelsea academy, has recently extended his contract with the Serie A giants after making his senior debut under Max Allegri.

  1. There are a lot of people who are going to really dislike seeing a black player be a mainstay for Gli Azzurri in the next decade. Not even referring to Italians. It’s non-Italians who make these comments.

  2. Federico Di Marco, best left back in the league, with Destiny Udogie as his understudy, we have great coverage in this position for the next couple of tournaments.

  3. If you’re good enough – size or race should not matter – hoping the likes of Kean, Gnonto and Udogie prove they are good enough.

Once they are good enough and qualify for Italy, they should be regularly called up and hopefully shine.

  4. UDOGIE on the left side should already be part of the senior team with SPINNA!!!

And MANCINI should build around SIMONE PAFUNDI as a 10, free to move around all over the pitch!!
