There is another addition to the absentee list for Milan going into tomorrow’s match with Monza, as Ismael Bennacer is reportedly ill in bed.

It kicks off on Saturday at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).

According to Sky Sport Italia, Bennacer is struggling with flu symptoms and has a high temperature this evening, so is unlikely to be risked this weekend.

Coach Stefano Pioli is already expected to rest Rafael Leao, Olivier Giroud and Sandro Tonali ahead of the Champions League must-win match against Dinamo Zagreb.

Davide Calabria, Mike Maignan, Alexis Saelemaekers, Alessandro Florenzi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are still out of action.

Simon Kjaer and Charles De Ketelaere are back in the squad, but the Belgian is not likely to start, so Brahim Diaz retains his spot.

Divock Origi is expected to get his first start in a Milan jersey, along with Ante Rebic and Tommaso Pobega stepping in.

If Bennacer is out too, then Yacine Adli is the probable candidate to come in.

As for Monza, they have Nicolò Rovella suspended, with Armando Izzo injured and Gabriele Ferrarini dropped.
