June is a decisive month for Inter’s transfers, with the Nerazzurri involved in several negotiations, from the potential signings of Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku to the sale of Milan Skriniar.

Beppe Marotta is aware that he needs to sell at least one of Inter’s stars to balance the books and, ideally, the first sale must be completed by the end of the financial year on June 30. Just as it happened last summer, PSG will likely give Inter the cash injection they need by signing one of their best defenders.

One year ago, they signed Achraf Hakimi for circa €70m, this time, they could get Skriniar for a similar fee. Inter have already rejected a €50m bid for the Slovakia international, but the Ligue 1 giants could put on the table a new offer today.

June 30 is also the deadline for Lukaku’s potential return to the club. Chelsea are open to sending the player back to Inter on loan or in a player-plus-cash swap deal, but, in order to use the growth decree, a 50% cut on the player’s gross salary, Inter must reach an agreement with their ex-striker and the Blues by the end of the month.

Inter could sell both Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij, who has emerged as a transfer target of Manchester United.

There is more time to finalise a deal for Paulo Dybala. Marotta and the striker’s agent Jorge Antun will continue negotiations today, but La Joya seems destined to join the Nerazzurri.

Inter are also in talks with Empoli for Kristjan Asllani and Cagliari for Raoul Bellanova. The latter, a product of Milan academy, is expected to move to the Stadio Meazza for circa €8m. A new meeting between clubs’ directors will take place today.

According to Gazzetta, Empoli and Inter have an agreement in place for Asllani (circa €10m) but must shake hands on the transfer formula. The pink paper adds that eight players will surely leave the Nerazzurri: Arturo Vidal, Matias Vecino, Aleksandar Kolarov, Ionut Radu, Alexis Sanchez, Andrea Ranocchia and Ivan Perisic, who has already joined Tottenham on a free transfer.

3 thought on “Dybala, Lukaku, Skriniar and more: why June is a decisive month for Inter’s transfers”
  1. Inter are like most Serie A clubs nowadays – sell the best players and bring in has-beens or inferior quality.

Depressing times as the league gets weaker every summer.

  2. Skrinjar is not Hakimi. Are you guys serious?! are selling your main pillar in defense?!!!
Sunning is not looking for European success. League is their main goal.
