Lautaro Martinez is ‘not expecting or looking for a transfer’ away from Inter this summer, assured his agent.
The 24-year-old striker is his team’s top scorer this season with 23 goals in 45 competitive games, 19 of them in Serie A.
He was already linked with Atletico Madrid and Arsenal last year, with his form in the current campaign only set to further intensify the focus from abroad.
However, his agent spoke to television programme ‘¿Cómo te va?’ to insist they have no intention of seeking a way out of San Siro.
“Sometimes the media publishes stories about his possible transfer, but Lautaro is only focused on Inter, giving the fans joy and making them champions again, then he can start preparing for the World Cup with Argentina,” said Alejandro Camano.
“We are not expecting or looking for a transfer. He is at Inter, he is happy, the city is wonderful. We are thinking only of Inter.”
Lautaro Martinez was signed from Racing Avellaneda in the summer of 2018 for €25m and his value in the transfer market has easily tripled in that time, if not more.
He only signed a new contract in October 2021, with the expiration date now not until June 2026.
At international level, the striker participated in the Copa America winning campaign and has 19 goals in 37 senior caps for Argentina.
