Watch as Mike Maignan directs his Milan teammates in the moments leading up to Pierre Kalulu’s winner against Empoli yesterday.

The 26-year-old French shot stopper can be seen on the sidelines of the pitch, opposite to coaches Stefano Pioli and Aurelio Andreazzoli, in order to get the perfect view to direct his teammates into positions that would trouble his counter-part Guglielmo Vicario.

Kalulu would score only moments after the free kick was taken, giving Milan a vital three points as they keep up the pressure in the title race.

  1. This guy is way way better than Donnarumma Everytime and every single day as I come to look at it objectively. MR Maldini Midas touch is proving to be a master stroke for Milan.

  2. This guy seriously LOL
Maybe other GKs do the same, don’t know, first time I’ve seen this reported. Genius. clearly got the legs to sprint back to 18yrd box.

  3. Has to be the 1st “quarterback” goalkeeper in football, he is making plays all over the place. He is a revolution of the goalkeeping position.

  4. The more I see Milan this season, the happier I am that Raiola ushered Gigio to Paris. No offence to him but Maignan is a huge improvement in so many ways.
