Juan Cuadrado confirms that he is happy in Turin and wants to sign a contract extension with Juventus.

The Colombia international’s deal in Turin ends in the summer, but the two parties are negotiating over a contract extension for the ex-Chelsea and Fiorentina man.

“I am calm, the club and my agents are talking and it doesn’t change much to me to do it [extend] now or later. I am happy in Turin and Juventus is my family,” he told DAZN.

Cuadrado was crucial in the last two games against his ex-club Fiorentina, scoring a late winner in a Serie A match in November and causing an own goal in a Coppa Italia tie last week.

“It’s great to help the team in these moments and score a decisive goal in the stoppages, as it happened against Fiorentina,” Cuadrado said.

“The coach called me and I felt that I could have offered something. I sometimes feel that something positive can happen in the stoppages, I hope it will happen many times again in the future.”

Juventus have been one of the best Serie A teams since the start of the year, also thanks to their new signing Dusan Vlahovic.

“Dusan is an important player for us, he is very strong and is helping us to hold the ball,” the Colombian noted.

“He is suitable to Juventus and has enormous room for improvement. He can give great satisfaction to Bianconeri fans.

“The strongest defender I’ve faced? I think [Camilo] Zuniga. He was always tough, he was fast and knew me well, so it was difficult to dribble past him.”
