Tammy Abraham was the best player on the pitch for the Italian press in Roma’s 1-0 win over Atalanta yesterday, proving his value and quality.

The Giallorossi picked up an important victory yesterday at the Stadio Olimpico, with the three points vital in their work to achieve European qualification this season. The English striker was the difference maker, scoring his 20th goal of the season to drive Jose Mourinho’s side home with a win. The two teams are now tied on 47 points following the result.

Abraham was considered by the Italian press to be the best performer in yesterday’s 1-0 win, with Corriere della Sera noting that “he played an outstanding game, always helping out defensively.” La Gazzetta dello Sport agreed with this assessment, pointing out that “all now doubts about him have evaporated now. A 20-goal-a-season striker is a lot.”

  1. Another great striker that Chelsea let get away. Shows his character when he goes to a league that is notoriously difficult for strikers in their first season or so. 20 goals is a great first season and hopefully he can get a move to Juve and replace Morota and Kean.
