Antonio Conte says Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur ‘are the right prospects for Tottenham Hotspur’s philosophy’ and explains where the former Parma loanee can play.
Both players moved to North London from Juventus in the January transfer window. Bentancur completed a permanent €19m move with €6m add-ons. Kulusevski signed for Tottenham on an 18-month loan paid €10m with an option to buy for €35m.
Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici, who had signed both players at Juventus, explained why he signed them again for Spurs and today it was Antonio Conte’s turn to give his thoughts on the two newcomers.
Paratici presents Kulusevski and Bentancur to Tottenham, praises Conte
“The two players are fit and for this reason tomorrow they are available, for sure to start the game is not right because they need to work with the team for a period. They can come in to help us a lot,” the former Inter and Juventus coach said at a press conference, as quoted by Football London.
“About Kulusevski, he is a good player, he is very young, he is a great talent and he can play like a number 10 with the strikers but at the same time he has the potential to play wing-back on the right, he has good quality. He likes to attack, he is good on a one vs one, to create chances for team-mates. A good signing for us.
Antonio Conte will be with us shortly. Plenty for him to speak about. https://t.co/ck9cMMJ3He

“Rodrigo and Dejan and they are the right prospects of following Tottenham philosophy. Young talented players to improve and they are important players for the future, but you need time to do this.
Summary: We didn’t have a lot of options so we had to accept these 2, lol!
