Napoli confirm Hirving Lozano has avoided concussion after he was stretchered off due to a collision with Leicester City player Wilfred Ndidi.

The Mexico international was placed in a protective brace and stretchered away for hospital tests during the first half of Napoli’s 3-2 Europa League victory.

He tripped and fell face-first onto Ndidi’s thigh, leaving him very dazed.

It was reported he had broken a tooth in the collision and would have X-Rays for a suspected fractured nose.

A statement this evening from Napoli confirms tests were negative, so Lozano does not have concussion.

It does not seem to be a fracture to his nose either, but the tooth has been broken.

Lozano is unlucky with facial injuries, as he suffered a horrible gash above his eye while playing for Mexico in the Gold Cup against Trinidad and Tobago in July.

That kept him in hospital for several days and he required surgery.
