Lazio failed to get the win they needed against Galatasaray, so reach the Europa League Round of 32 as group runners-up.

Both teams were already qualified, but if the Aquile won, they’d leapfrog Galatasaray to win the group and go straight into the Round of 16. Ciro Immobile shook off an injury to start, while the Turkish side missed Boey and Cicaldau.

Kerem Aktourkoglu and Pedro had attempts from distance, while Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s free kick was deflected off the wall.

Galatasaray almost scored directly from the corner flag just before half-time, Patrick Van Aanholt’s in-swinging corner clipping the near post, before Luiz Felipe managed to clear.

Lazio had a huge chance moments later, Mattia Zaccagni pulling back from the by-line for Immobile to blast over from eight yards.

Fernando Muslera smothered at the feet of Immobile, but the striker had a huge chance when his control and half-volley was deflected wide from a Milinkovic-Savic knock-down.

Luis Alberto really should’ve done better with a side-foot finish wide from the D on Felipe Anderson’s assist.

Immobile wanted a penalty for handball as his shot was charged down, but the referee had already stopped play for a Milinkovic-Savic push.
