Serie B side Monza have officially announced Uruguayan attacking midfielder Gaston Ramirez’s arrival, as the 31-year-old has signed a a six-month deal.
The forward arrives as a free agent and has experience from Serie A with Bologna and Sampdoria.
Between the stints at the two Italian clubs, he spent five years in England with Southampton, Hull and Middlesbrough.
The former Penarol attacker has been without a club since leaving Samp in July 2021 and has been announced as a new Monza player today.
“Gaston Ramirez is a new player of Monza,” the club wrote on their official website. “The talented midfielder has signed a contract with the Biancorossi until June 30, 2022.
“He’s the first Uruguayan player at the club. Welcome Gaston.”
