According to the latest reports, Andrea Belotti is determined to leave Torino for Milan, but the Rossoneri only want him as a free agent.

Toro President Urbano Cairo confirmed this week that Belotti probably had no intention of signing a new contract with the club.

His current deal is due to expire in June 2022, so he will be a free agent next summer.

This prompted suggestions Torino would aim to sell in January, so as to avoid making a complete loss on their most valuable player.

Belotti destined to join Milan: deal in Jannuary?

However, Calciomercato.com claim that Belotti has his heart set on Milan and the Rossoneri do not want to spend any money on Il Gallo.

The plan for director Ricky Massara is therefore to wait and see if Belotti really does become available as a free agent in July.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud already big earners in those roles, Milan are in no rush to bring in another centre-forward yet.

4 thought on “Milan in no hurry for Belotti”
  1. Yep. This deal makes sense only if it’s free and next year. Belotti needs to use the remainder of the season to get back to his best form.

  2. Watching the current matches for Italy, seems that Raspadori won’t be as ready for couple of years, Moise Kean is still inconsistent, Immobile wasn’t convincing in Euros so maybe give Belotti an extended run as Italy’s no 9

  3. Can’t say Belotti interests me, not that I watch Torino games but from what I’ve seen him when playing for Italy, he seems past his prime (which actually makes him exactly the sort of player Milan would be interested in, for attack).
