Former Milan academy player Seid Visin, 20, was found dead at his home.

Visin was born in Ethiopia in September 2000 but moved to Italy when he was only a child.

He had been adopted by a family in Nocera Inferiore, but moved to Milan to play in the Rossoneri’s youth teams. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport he was the roommate of Gigio Donnarumma at that time.

He had also played at Benevento, but he retired from football in 2016 to return home in Campania, where he played five-a-side football with Atletico Vitalica.

It was the club to announce his death on Facebook.

“Your smile and your undoubted talent will forever remain in our minds,” the club wrote.

“We will always bring in our hearts your discretion and your refractoriness to see football as a mean to earn money.

“Today, you leave as you arrived, leaving us astonished and speechless. You will forever remain in the history of each one of us, because the bonds of those who love without asking anything back last forever.”

Mino Raiola’s cousin Vincenzo was among those paying tribute to the former Milan starlet on Instagram where he posted a picture together with Visin writing: ‘You left us speechless, like when we commented on your moves. I shouldn’t have done it, I will never forget you.’

The cause of Visin’s death remains unclear.
