According to Sky Sport Italia, Fikayo Tomori is determined to snub a move to Newcastle to join Milan in January.

The Chelsea defender has emerged as the Rossoneri priority in the winter transfer window as their first target, Mohamed Simakan, picked up an injury and is expected to remain out of action for a two months.

Sky Sport reports Chelsea are open to selling Tomori on loan with an option to buy in the region of €30m.

Frank Lampard is an admirer of the 23-year-old, but the defender has only played four games in all competitions so far this season.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Newcastle have placed a bid to sign the player on loan, but England international is determined to snub the offer coming from the Magpies to join the Rossoneri.

Milan and Chelsea haven’t reached an agreement yet, while Tomori is reported to have reached a verbal agreement with the Serie A table leaders.

The Diavoli are having a busy transfer window as they are about to sign Soualiho Meite on loan from Torino, and are in talks to sign Mario Mandzukic as a free agent.
