Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic met Sweden coach Janne Andersson yesterday to discuss a possible return to his national team.

Andersson travelled to Milan yesterday to meet the 39-year-old who is currently out of action with an injury.

The Swede retired from international football back in 2016 but could now make a shock return to his national team.

Andersson spoke to Svenskfotboll.se after the meeting with Ibra: “After that Zlatan had opened up the possibility to return [to national team] I thought it was right to meet him as soon as possible," Andersson said.

“The meeting was very positive, we agree on the fact that we’ll continue the dialogue in the coming months.”

Sweden’s next game is in March 2021.

Ibrahimovic had attacked Andersson back in September saying that some of his choices, including not playing Juventus’ Dejan Kulusevski were ‘absolute jokes.’
