The former Chelsea and Napoli boss had signed a three-year, €6m-a-year deal with the Old Lady in summer 2019 but was sacked after his first season in charge, despite winning a Serie A title.

Juventus have been trying to reach an agreement to terminate his contract and the two parties seemed to be close to having a deal when Fiorentina spoke to Sarri about replacing Beppe Iachini.

The Tuscan, however, is not willing to accept a job offer in the middle of the season but would be eventually open to joining Fiorentina in the future provided they put a long-term contract in the table.

Meanwhile, sources tell Football Italia Sarri has no intention of terminating his Juventus contract early.

The situation could change if a top club offer him a job but he remains reluctant to take over when a campaign is ongoing.

Sarri will get his full Juventus salary plus bonuses until the end of the season but the Old Lady can decide to terminate his contract before its final year by paying €2.5m compensation due to a clause that must be activated by March 2021.
