The youngster had to repair a torn ACL and the meniscus in January, after sustaining a season-ending injury against Juventus during a 2-1 defeat at the Olimpico. On January 13, he underwent surgery to correct the issue and has been working hard to gradually improve the damage he suffered.
The outlet reveals that the forward has been making great progress and will therefore increase the workload, meaning that he can start running at the sports centre when it reopens this week.
The Giallorossi players are currently subject to medical tests, according to the protocol for the resumption of training sessions, and should start the individual training on Thursday, the same day as Milan are reportedly scheduled to return.
Zaniolo, who looked likely to miss out on Euro 2020 this summer, will be ready to continue his recovery when Roma return to the pitch and has been given an opportunity to get back in shape and reclaim his place in Roberto Mancini’s plans ahead of the postponed Finals next year.
