As Simone Inzaghi guides Lazio to the top of the table, the Biancocelesti are breaking club records.

Lazio's win against Bologna meant they returned to the summit of the Italian game for the first time since winning the Scudetto in 1999-00, where they infamously won the title on the last day.

The Biancocelesti are also top of the table at this stage of the season for the first time since February 1999, when they were four points clear of Alberto Malesani’s Parma.

Inzaghi achieved a personal milestone with the home victory against Bologna. The former Lazio player has recorded home and away wins against all-but-three sides in Serie A, with Bologna being one of them.

Now with the Rossoblu out of the equation, only Brescia and Lecce remain for Inzaghi.

Yesterday’s win was their 17th in the league this season from 21 games, a club record.

Lazio have scored at least two goals in 19 games this season, only Liverpool, Man City and Paris Saint-German can better that record.

Additionally, the Biancocelesti have also scored the most goals, 18, in the opening half an hour of games in Serie A this season.

Midfielder Luis Alberto leads the charts in Serie A for assists, with the Spaniard currently on 12, only Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne, PSG’s Angel Di Maria, Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho are ahead of the Lazio No 10.
