“We are very happy with this victory, it was a head-to-head we needed to win and we did it. We always said we were a team with great capabilities and we are finding ourselves again, having lost our way last season,” Zaniolo told Sky Sport Italia.

“Now we must keep working, hope for other similar wins and for something great. The coach told us to act as if it was 0-0, play the way we did in the opening 25 minutes and it was the right advice.”

Zaniolo has now scored in his last four games between Serie A and the Europa League.

“I’m very pleased with my current form, I hope to continue like this and to score many more goals.”
