Cagliari boss Rolando Maran has warned Juventus that his side ‘dream’ of pulling off a famous win on Tuesday.

Cagliari thrashed Chievo 3-0 at the weekend for their first away victory in Serie A since September, while Juve are without nine players for the trip to Sardinia, among them Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic.

“We’ve taken a weight off ourselves,” Maran said at a Press conference.

“We hadn’t won away for a long time. The win at Chievo must give us further enthusiasm to face Juventus. We’re up for it.

“Two forwards should play [Kean and Bernardeschi], who were starters in Italy’s last game. Therefore the calibre of their team doesn’t change so much.

“We can still improve our position in the table and find consistency. We’d like to give our fans more satisfaction.

“We must have the desire to cultivate our dream. We know we have to take another stretch of road and tomorrow we’ll be facing the most complicated opponents possible.

“Wer’re in a good run of form and our motivation is at the top. In order to be able to achieve results, we still need to do better than we did in our last few games.

“We must trace our path and not lower our guard by a milimetre.”
