He was wearing very similar baseball caps on both occasions, each bearing animals and a word that could be seen as sending a message.
Against Samp, his hat included an image of a lion with the word ‘KING.’
He has a large chest tattoo depicting himself as a lion, with his wife and kids as their pride of cubs.
It was this picture that Wanda chose to tweet out with no comment after this evening’s 4-0 Europa League win over Rapid Vienna.
However, during that match, he was wearing a different hat with an eagle and the word ‘FREEDOM.’
Icardi and Wanda were caught on camera in the stands after the fourth goal, scored by Matteo Politano, and they did not appear to be celebrating.
If anything, they seemed glum and irritable, naturally sparking an angry reaction from fans on social media.
Luciano Spalletti had said after the Samp game that he was pleased Icardi had attended, but would’ve been happier if the striker had come to the locker room afterwards to celebrate with his teammates.
Sky Sport Italia report that after the Rapid Vienna match, Icardi again did not go to the locker room.
