It is reported that Lazio are set to make an offer for Milan utility man Fabio Borini.

The 27-year-old scored five goals for the Rossoneri last season while featuring in a number of positions on both flanks.

He has since been signed on a permanent basis by the San Siro club, who took him on loan from English side Sunderland last season.

However, Calciomercato reports that this will not put the Biancocelesti off submitting a bid for the former Liverpool man.

Lazio are thought to be long-term admirers of Borini, having also tried to sign him last summer before the player instead moved to Milan on loan.

Both sporting director Igli Tare and Coach Simone Inzaghi are said to be fans of the player, with an offer to take him to Rome imminent.
