Gennaro Gattuso has joked that Milan will ‘chain’ President Li Yonghong to Malpensa airport after he watched the side beat Inter in the Coppa Italia.

“Unbeaten with the President at San Siro? We can’t let him leave, we’ll solve the problem by chaining him to Malpensa [airport]!” the Coach told Milan TV.
“All jokes aside, this team don’t lack quality and we never got stretched. On a defensive level, we always came back well and won a lot of second balls, but we still have a lot to improve on.
“We have the dribble, but we must take another step forward in defence. We marked well in ones and twos, so it’s normal that our quality then came out.
“Calhanoglu? He’s worked hard since I’ve been here, he’s never missed a training session, but I also want to single out the performance of Lucas Biglia, who’s proving to be a great player.
“For me, he was one of the best players on the pitch, and it’s crucial to get back all the players in our squad.
“My staff and I must put them in a position to express themselves. Even against Atalanta I had seen good things, but I see improvements in the whole team and we mustn’t give up anything.”
