According to Il Messaggero and Il Tempo newspapers, Roma have gone to Plan B by renewing their lease to use the Stadio Olimpico for another three years.

This would leave the Giallorossi at the current location until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
President Jim Pallotta finally acknowledged the new purpose-built arena will take a long time to develop, let alone construct.
Roma have played at the Olimpico since 1953-54, leaving only for brief spells at the Flaminio when it was being restructured, most recently ahead of the 1990 World Cup.
