Gonzalo Higuain has reportedly lost a case against Napoli for image rights, as documents weren’t submitted in time.

The striker left the Partenopei last summer to join Juventus, in a Serie A record deal worth €90m.

Relations with President Aurelio De Laurentiis were given as a reason for the switch, and Pipita later submitted a claim for €600,000 in unpaid image rights.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that the case has been dropped, as Higuain’s legal team didn’t submit the requisite documents within the 50 day deadline.
