Diego Armando Maradona visited Napoli’s training session today and revealed “I’ll be in Madrid to cheer them on against Real.”

The legend is in Italy at the moment for a series of media events and stopped by to meet Coach Maurizio Sarri and the squad.

“I respect Sarri a great deal and he’s doing a really good job,” Maradona told Mediaset Premium Sport.

“I wanted to speak to him properly for a while and told him I’ll be in Madrid to cheer Napoli on against Real in the Champions League.

Maradona later wrote on Facebook: "Today I felt like a Napoli player again."

Sarri confessed to the cameras “it’s a dream come true” to meet with Maradona.

The Coach had introduced Il Pibe de Oro to the squad by interrupting training to present 'our new buy.'
