It has been confirmed that Davide Astori will replace Andrea Barzagli in the Italy squad to face Liechtenstein and Germany.
Juventus defender Barzagli dislocated his shoulder during his club side’s 2-1 victory over Chievo earlier on Sunday, thus ruling him out of the international double-header.
As such, Azzurri boss Giampiero Ventura has opted to call up Fiorentina’s Astori in his place. The news was confirmed in a statement on FIGC’s official website.
