It is reported that Antonio Conte wants to recall Milan’s Mario Pasalic back to Chelsea in January.

The Croatian midfielder moved to San Siro on a temporary basis in the summer, where he was expected to remain for the entire season.

However, he has yet to feature for Vincenzo Montella’s team so far this campaign, with the Rossoneri boss hinting that it could still be a while before he features.

“He is a very young boy,” the former Fiorentina Coach told a Press conference. “He arrived later and he was coming off six months of not playing due to back problems.

“Now he is fit but there are still technical issues. He has quality as we have seen, but he still needs to develop.”

Conte, on the other hand, is said to be looking to bolster his midfield options. According to The Sun, the Blues manager could be tempted to take 21-year-old Pasalic to his parent club prematurely.
