Torino Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and Chievo’s Rolando Maran have both been handed a one-match touchline ban by the Lega Serie A.

The Granata boss was sent to the stands for “challenging a refereeing decision” in the defeat to Atalanta before “violently kicking a half-full water bottle toward the bench”.

Having been informed of his dismissal, Mihajlovic then directed an “insulting expression” to the officials and today’s disciplinary ruling has handed him a one-match ban.

In Maran’s case, he was not sanctioned during draw with Lazio, but he has been caught-out by televisual evidence.

A review of the images from the match found he had “uttered a profane expression” which was “identified by lip-reading with no room for reasonable doubt”. He has therefore also been given a one-match ban.

On the pitch, Ricky Alvarez has been slapped with a two-match ban after his red card for Sampdoria against Roma.

In addition to the automatic ban for the red card, Alvarez was “insulting and menacing” to the referee after the match.

Marco Storari of Cagliari and Crotone’s Noe Dussenne were banned for one match apiece for their respective red cards.
