Lazio have reportedly had a bid for Ajax’s Arkadiusz Milik rejected and could now turn to Pescara’s Gianluca Lapadula or AZ’s Vincent Janssen.

The Biancocelesti are looking to sign a striker this summer after Miroslav Klose’s departure and have also been linked with Fiorentina’s Giuseppe Rossi today.

Il Messaggero has reported that top target Milik has a price tag of €20m, and Ajax rejected Lazio’s first offer of €12m plus a potential €6m of bonuses.

These bonuses would be divided into €3m at a later date and another €3m if European qualification is achieved, but Milik’s agent Mino Raiola isn’t convinced by the structure of the deal.

For this reason Lazio have stalled on their progress for the Poland international and could instead turn to fellow Eredivisie striker Janssen.

The 21-year-old scored 27 league goals this season and is a serious objective as a plan B for the Roman club.

Corriere dello Sport believes that an Aquile bid for sought-after Pescara frontman Gianluca Lapadula could still arrive.

Lazio President Claudio Lotito met with his Pescara counterpart Daniele Sebastiani at the Coppa Italia final on Saturday, according to the newspaper.

Lotito expressed concrete interest in the 26-goal Serie B striker, saying he would be prepared to offer €10m to sign the 26-year-old.

Napoli, Genoa and Juventus are among the other Serie A teams believed to be chasing Lapadula.
