The two teams currently occupying second and third place in Serie A will face off in the Stadio Olimpico on Monday evening.

Five points currently separates the two sides, and the Bosnia-Herzegovina midfielder believes it is a must-win game for the Giallorossi.

“We believe in second place,” Pjanic told Roma Radio.

“We got a little fear from those two draws that we should’ve won. Then yesterday how we started the game…then we took the three points.

“We must prepare ourselves for Monday, I hope to be at my best, I have a few problems with my groin and thigh, but in football anything can happen.

“Decline? We can’t say it’s normal, because if we want to be high up the table we need to always win, sometimes even playing badly but bringing home three points.

Torino created a lot of problems for us with their system with wing-backs. We had trouble creating chances, we weren’t too dangerous and the opponent had quality.

“They scored from the penalty and then we gave everything, it was a beautiful win.

“Napoli are still strong. Obviously everyone fears Higuain, but that won’t change us a great deal. It’ll be very tough.

“We’ll prepare in the same manner, with or without Higuain on the pitch. We must win and we’ll do everything.

“We need to try and look ahead to create problems for Napoli. We must win, let’s hope for a full stadium that we’ll make happy after the game.”
