Ciro Immobile could be heading back to Italy for Sampdoria or his hometown club Napoli after only a few months at Sevilla.

The 25-year-old shot to fame at Torino in 2013-14 with 22 Serie A goals in 33 games, but has since struggled for playing time at Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Immobile could move on again in the January transfer window for a six-month loan.

Napoli – his hometown club – and Sampdoria are the favourites, while Galatasaray and some Premier League outfits could also be interested.

There is another reason why Napoli have the upper hand, as Immobile would be reunited with his former Italy Under-21 international and Pescara teammate Lorenzo Insigne.
