Coach Stefano Pioli says his Lazio players must “believe” in their ability to beat Juventus tomorrow.
The Biancocelesti haven’t won in Serie A since October 25, and welcome the champions to Stadio Olimpico tomorrow night.
“We have two options,” Pioli informed journalists in his pre-match Press conference.
“We can go onto the pitch trying not to lose, not to make mistakes and aiming not to concede.
“Or, we can believe that we can play our game and that we have the qualities to attack and defend. We have only once choice, we have to believe.
“The opponent is not that important, we can’t waste any time in picking up a result. That means we’ll have to put in a great performance.
“We’re facing a great team, but I’m not interested in the past. Every game is a story in itself, I’m looking at tomorrow night and we need a positive result.”
Pioli was then asked whether he would tinker with his line-up in order to counter specific threats from the Bianconeri.
“Juve have players with diverse characteristics, but so do we. I don’t think [Juventus Coach Max] Allegri knows who I’ll play, I have two more training sessions, I have to evaluate things.
“The players understand how to approach the game, now we must put that out on the pitch.”
