Reports in England suggest Inter are considering a pre-contract offer for Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic.

The Serbian defender is in the final year of his contract with the Stamford Bridge side, meaning he is free to talk to teams in January.

The London Evening Standard believes that Ivanovic has become frustrated, as Chelsea are only willing to offer a one-year deal, presenting an opportunity for Inter.

The newspaper believes the Nerazzurri would be willing to offer a longer deal, as they’d save money by not having to pay a transfer fee.

Though he primarily plays at centre-back for Chelsea, Ivanovic is a natural right-back, and could arrive as a replacement for Martin Montoya.

Montoya joined from Barcelona on loan this summer, but has yet to make a single competitive appearance for Roberto Mancini’s side.
