Andrea Bertolacci suffered a tear of the rectus femoris muscle in Milan’s win over Lazio last night.
The midfielder went off injured in the course of the 3-1 win at Stadio Olimpico, and the club has now confirmed that he has torn a muscle.
“Andrea Bertolacci has been diagnosed with a tear of the rectus femoris muscle in his left thigh following medical tests in Rome earlier today,” a statement on the Rossoneri’s official website read.
“The Italian midfielder will undergo further tests in ten days’ time.”

Bertolacci scored the opening goal against the Biancocelesti, but had to be withdrawn after 34 minutes of the first half.
