Sassuolo confirm Sampdoria “asked for information” on Coach Eusebio Di Francesco’s availability.
Di Francesco has been tipped for the Blucerchiati bench next season after Sinisa Mihajlovic confessed he could leave.
“Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero asked for information on Di Francesco,” Sassuolo director general Giovanni Carnevali told Gazzetta TV.

Di Francesco has been tipped for the Blucerchiati bench next season after Sinisa Mihajlovic confessed he could leave.
“Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero asked for information on Di Francesco,” Sassuolo director general Giovanni Carnevali told Gazzetta TV.
“He is the only person to have called us so far. Di Francesco is the principle architect of our project and we’d have to really think about it before letting him go.”
A potential replacement could be Pippo Inzaghi, who had been offered the job last year when Di Francesco was briefly sacked in favour of Alberto Malesani.
If the reports are true, then Mihajlovic is heading to Milan in order to take over from Inzaghi.
“We did contact Inzaghi in January last year, but now we are happy to go forward with Di Francesco,” added Carnevali.
